In the MGM 1965 adaptation The Alphabet Murders, the butler of the Carmichael household is renamed Judson. This character is played by Austin Trevor.
In the film adaptation of The A.B.C. Murders in Series 2 of ITV's Agatha Christie's Poirot, the part of Deveril was played by Jeremy Hawke. In the adaptation, he goes out looking for Clarke with Thora Grey. He is the one who first discovers his employer's body.
In the anime show ABC Murders, NHK's adaptation of The A.B.C. Murders, there is a butler and he is the one who discovers the body. He has a slightly smaller role than in the original as he is not interviewed. His name is not given and the voice actor who played the part is not credited.
