Dermot Milewater is a non-canonical character created for the 2010 ITV adaptation of the short story The Blue Geranium. Dermot is a friend of Miss Marple and the elderly vicar in the village of Little Ambrose. He had invited Miss Marple to stay with him during the time of the deaths in the village. One of Dermot's main preoccupations was raising funds to repair the church building which had decaying foundations. He disliked Mary Pritchard. She was a local girl who later married into wealth and moved back to the village in order to play "the lady of the manor". She bullied everyone in the village and treated her husband badly. She also tried to block her husband from donating money to help with the church repairs.

At the time of the deaths, Dermot Milewater had been vicar at Little Ambrose for some forty years. He had a brother Robert Milewater who used to be a vicar at St. Mary Mead. Dermot's niece was Robert's daughter Hester Milewater. She was employed as the cook at Summerleigh, the house which the Pritchards had bought.

The part of Dermot Milewater is played by David Calder.
