The novel was adapted as a five-part serial for BBC Radio 4 in 1997. John Moffatt reprised his role of Poirot. The serial was broadcast weekly from Thursday, January 2 to Thursday, January 30 at 10.00am to 10.30pm. All five episodes were recorded on Friday, July 12, 1996, at Broadcasting House.

Hercule Poirot decides to take a little holiday to Egypt.

Episode 2 (Vendetta)[]

Poirot senses the atmosphere of evil around him.

Episode 3 (Murder)[]

Poirot begins to be deeply afraid of impending doom.

Episode 4 (Discovery)[]

Poirot is baffled. There has been a murder, but the main suspect couldn't possibly have committed the crime.

Episode 5 (Suspicions)[]

Poirot's holiday has become a hideous nightmare.
