In the novel Murder in Mesopotamia, Death in a Nursing Home is a novel which nurse Amy Leatheran read to pass the time while at Tell Yarimjah. She found the story most exciting, but doubted that the author knew much about how nursing homes were run. She felt inclined to write to the author to put him right on a few points.
