Danemead is the house of Miss Marple in the village of St. Mary Mead, close to the Vicarage.
Inspiration[]
It is believed that Christie modelled the house on Winterbrook House where Christie and her husband Max Mallowan lived from 1934 to her death.

- In the BBC series starring Joan Hickson, the Grade II listed Dane Cottage on Five Bells Lane in Nether Wallop in Hampshire was used as the exterior of Danemead.
