Crow's nest in Agatha Christie's Poirot
In the novel Three Act Tragedy, Crow's Nest is the home of Sir Charles Cartwright. It is located near Loomouth in Cornwall. During a party at the house the Reverend Babbington was poisoned.
Crow's Nest is "a modern bungalow of the better type", a "plain white solid building". It is bigger than it looks, and is so named because it is high up, overlooking the harbour of Loomouth. From one corner of the terrace, there is a sheer drop to the sea below.
Crow's Nest is a mile from town by road, but it can be reached in seven minutes on foot, by a steep fisherman's path.
The house is equipped with three bathrooms, and hot and cold running water in all the bedrooms. It has the latest system of central heating, and the newest electrical fittings.
