In the novel A Caribbean Mystery, Commander Richardson is mentioned by Miss Marple. She ponders that “As for Major Palgrave, he was indistinguishable from General Leroy, Captain Flemming, Admiral Wicklow and Commander Richardson.”
It is not elaborated upon if Commander Richardson is a real person or is just use to exemplify that one old army veteran doesn’t differ very much from another.
