In the stage play Go Back for Murder, Caroline “Carla” Le Marchant (born Crale) is the daughter of Amyas and Caroline Crale. At the time of the murder of her father Carla was spending a week with her godmother. After the death of her father and imprisonment of her mother, she was brought up in Canada by Robert and Bess Le Marchant.
Carla is engaged to Jeff Rogers, but in the end she breaks off the engagement.
The character of Carla Le Marchant is a rewriting of the character Carla Lemarchant from the novel Five Little Pigs, from which the stage play is adapted.
