In the novel Five Little Pigs, Camel Creek is a creek that separates Alderbury and Handcross Manor. The quickest way to get from one property to the other is by boat.

According to Meredith Blake, Camel Creek runs inland, and looks almost like a river mouth, but it is actually sea. In order to get to Alderbury from Handcross Manor by car, one would have to go inland and go around the creek, which would be nearly three miles in distance.
