Agatha Christie Wiki

In the novel At Bertram's Hotel, Bertram's Hotel is an Edwardian hotel on Pond Street in London's West End, with a history dating back to the 1840s. The telephone number to the hotel is Mayfair 3925. Jane Marple visited the hotel both in her youth and much later in life. Nothing appeared to have changed, which puzzled Miss Marple. As it turns out, Miss Marple's instinct was correct and the hotel was not what it seemed to be.

Two luxury hotels in London lay claim to being the inspiration for Bertram's Hotel: Flemings Mayfair on Half Moon Street and Brown's Hotel on Albermarle Street. For a discussion see the article here.
