In the novel The Sittaford Mystery, Belinda Plunket was the daughter of Mrs Curtis' Great-aunt Sarah. Belinda was the wife of George Plunket, the landlord of the Three Cows. Thanks to Belinda the mortgaged pub was turned profitable and the mortgages paid, within two years of their wedding.
