Barnstable is a non-canonical character created for the 1978 Ustinov film adaptation of Death on the Nile. He is the butler at Wode Hall, the country estate purchased by Linnet Ridgeway. Barnstable is portrayed by Harry Andrews. There is no mention of a butler at Wode Hall in the original novel although it probably had one.
