Aunty Johnson is a non-canonical character created for the BBC 1989 adaptation of A Caribbean Mystery. She is the aunt of Victoria Johnson who works at the hotel owned by Tim Kendal and his wife Molly.

Aunty Johnson lives at a village accessible by bus from the hotel. She invited Miss Marple for tea during which she gave Miss Marple some background information on Molly's family. Apparently Aunty Johnson had a sister who lives in Stockport who knew one of the cooks who worked for Molly's family in England. In this respect, Aunty Johnson takes on part of the role of Joan Prescott who does not feature in the adaptation.

During Victoria's funeral, Aunty Johnson also told Miss Marple about Victoria's common law husband (who is not named and not seen on screen) and her daughter Mary. As part of the funeral ceremony, Aunty Johnson as the next of kin was responsible for putting two whips into the dead Victoria's hands. Inspector Weston explained that this was part a local island belief relating to "nine night". Nine nights after the death of the victim, a wake is held and the dead are believed to rise up to punish their killers. Towards the end of the episode, when Tim Kendal is arrested, Aunty Johnson turns up at the hotel to tell him that Victoria did come for him and she has caught him.
