In Daijoyuu Satsujin Jiken, the 2018 TV Asahi Japanese adaptation of The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side, Aramaki Kansuke (荒巻勘輔 - Kansuke Aramaki in Western format) is a doctor and the parallel of Dr Gilchrist in the original novel. Here the doctor has a much smaller role. He is present at the dinner party given by Iridori Madoka (Marina Gregg) and Kaido Akira (Jason Rudd). WhenAsakaze Sagiri (Lola Brewster) and Danbara Hiraomi (Ardwyck Fenn) turn up uninvited, Kaido asks the doctor to look after Madoka if anything happens. He probably attended to the poison victim later and is probably interviewed by the police but we do not see any of these on screen.
Aramaki Kansuke is portrayed by Katagiri Ryuji.
