Aozametauma (蒼ざめた馬 - the Pale Horse) is a Japanese manga published in 2017. The full title is Aozametauma - mei tantei Ei Kubo Kamon no suiri techō (蒼ざめた馬 - 名探偵・英玖保嘉門の推理手帖 = the Pale Horse - Great Detective Eikubo Kamon's Deduction Notebook). The manga is drawn by Hoshino Yasumi (星野 泰視) and published by Shogakukan (小学館). The manga is in 2 volumes and is an adaptation of Agatha Christie's The Pale Horse.
The storyline appears to parallel that of the original novel quite closely but the setting has been changed to Japan in the 1930s and the events have been adapted to suit the Japanese cultural context. In addition, non-canonical characters have been introduced. There is a Hercule Poirot parallel character named Eikuho Kamon, also a "famous detective" who makes use of "little grey cells" and formerly a policeman in Manchuria. He is assisted by Asakura Heisuke Hidekuho, a former naval officer and a parallel of Captain Hastings. There is also Inspector Hino, of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and a Chief Inspector Japp parallel.
