In the short story The Last Seance, Amelie Exe was the deceased daughter of Madame Exe. Her mother has used the services of a famous Parisien medium Simone to get in touch with her. She has already had several successful seances, with some recent ones very real and vivid. In this story, Madame Exe prevails on Simone who wants to retire, to make one last contact with Amelie.
