She was described as a person that "might" be considered attractive but in a "bold or coarse fashion". At the inquest she claimed to be the sister of the deceased [[Alan Carstairs|Alex Pritchard]]. It later turned out that Alex Pritchard was Alan Carstairs, a Canadian big-game hunter. [[Bobby Jones]] and [[Frankie Derwent]] had seen a photograph near the body of Carstairs, and called out the person depicted in it to identify the body. The photo wasn't similar to Amelie but she claimed to be the person depicted there. It was later revealed that the person in the photograph was [[Moira Nicholson]].

In the novel Why Didn't They Ask Evans?, Amelia Cayman is the wife of Leo. She was described as a person that "might" be considered attractive but in a "bold or coarse fashion". At the inquest she claimed to be the sister of the deceased Alex Pritchard. It later turned out that Alex Pritchard was Alan Carstairs, a Canadian big-game hunter. Bobby Jones and Frankie Derwent had seen a photograph near the body of Carstairs, and called out the person depicted in it to identify the body. The photo wasn't similar to Amelie but she claimed to be the person depicted there. It was later revealed that the person in the photograph was Moira Nicholson.

At the inquest she gives her address as 17 St Leonard's Gardens, Paddington.
