In the novel The Body in the Library, Albert Biggs is a labourer who reported seeing a glow in the sky over by Venn's Quarry, about 2 miles out of Danemouth. He thought it was a big fire and reported it to Constable Gregg. The fire turned out to be the blazing wreck of a car which had been stolen from George Bartlett, a guest at the Majestic Hotel, Danemouth.
Biggs is not featured in either the BBC 1984 adaptation of the novel or the ITV 2004 adaptation. In the 1984 adaptation, the car is found by Malcolm, a non-canonical character. In the 2004 adaptation, it is not stated who found the car.
