In 1983, Chancellor Press published an untitled omnibus edition of two Agatha Christie's novels. The book was released in hardcover formats and comprised the novels: Murder at the Vicarage and The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side. The omnibus itself did not have a unique title and only listed the titles of the 2 component novels on its cover.
In 1986, Octopus Books also published an untitled omnibus comprising these same two novels but with a different ISBN 9780706427677.
Blurb on front flap[]
Agatha Christie is the most popular writer of detective fiction ever known, whose intricately plotted whodunits are enjoyed by armchair crime-solvers everywhere.
The Murder at the Vicarage is the story which introduced Miss Marple, the most famous of all female sleuths. Her village, St Mary Mead, is the sort of quiet place where nothing ever happens ... until one day Colonel Protheroe is found shot through the head in the vicarage study.
The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side is set in the luxurious country house of a famous film actress. What did Marie Gregg see in that house just before a murder was committed? And what caused her expression to change so violently that one observer was reminded of Tennyson and the Lady of Shalott?
