Agatha Christie: The great country houses which inspired the tales of Britain's greatest-ever crime writer is an article in the architecture section of the December 15, 2019 issue of Country Life magazine. In it, Jeremy Musson examines the architecture of the country (and other) houses which inspired the stories of Agatha Christie. The text is supported by watercolour illustrations of scenes and houses in Christie's stories specially commissioned by Country Life and drawn by Matthew Rice.

Musson notes that Christie preferred Queen Anne and Georgian houses, while those of later periods such as Stonygates she described as the "Best Victorian Lavatory" period. Besides significant country houses mentioned in her stories such as Styles Court, Rutherford Hall and Waverly Court, Musson also covers actual houses which are linked to Christie such as Greenway, Winterbrook House and Abney Hall.
