"That's it, the book is finished. I have put the final point. The title: An Autobiography. I don't feel very comfortable. My publisher will realize, pages are missing: my disappearance in the winter of 1926. Still, I did write this chapter. Pages and pages, almost an entire book. My secret. My private life. A week and a half that belongs only to me. »
It's a true story. A mystery that has never been fully solved. A grey area that remains in Agatha Christie's life. Why and how did the queen of crime disappear into the wilderness in the winter of 1926? What did she do during her eleven days? Why did all the press believe she had been kidnapped or murdered?
In her fascinating novel, Brigitte Kernel slips into the shoes of Agatha Christie to reconstruct this strange disappearance. A story of love, revenge and betrayal.
From London to Sunningdale, via Silent Pool, Greenway and Harrogate, over eleven winter days, Brigitte Kernel followed in the novelist's footsteps.
