Addisland Court is a block of flats built in the Art Deco style in 1936 by the Scottish architect William Bryce Binnie. Located on Holland Villas Road in the Holland Park area, London W14, it is still, today, a desirable property whose apartments fetch high prices.[1]
Addisland Court as a filming location[]
- Lord Edgware Dies - Carlotta Adams lived in flat #25 here. The building is not mentioned but several scenes show the main entrance where the name "Addisland Court" can be clearly seen. The door of her flat does not, however, look like one at Addisland Court, neither does the layout.
- The Adventure of the Italian Nobleman - Count Foscatini has a flat here. The name of the building is specifically mentioned although his flat number is not stated. Judging by the design of the entrance of the flat, the door and the windows, it appears that the interior of the count's flat is filmed at Addisland Court also. In the original story, the count was at the fictional Regent's Court.
