In the novel Cat Among the Pigeons, Achmed is an aeroplane mechanic in Ramat.
Achmed was a trusted mechanic of Bob Rawlinson, the personal pilot of Prince Ali Yusuf, ruler of Ramat. However, information obtained by British intelligence and also by Mr Robinson showed that he had actually sabotaged Rawlinson's plane, causing it to crash in some mountains and resulting in the death of both Rawlinson and Prince Ali. The text describes Rawlinson going over the plane with one "Sergeant Achmed" carefully just before take-off and this could be the same person.
