In the noel Appointment with Death, Abdul is one of the servants at the camp at Petra, where the Boynton family and other travellers stay.
On the day of the murder, Abdul tells Mahmoud that Mrs Boynton is ill, and cannot move. Mrs Boynton is then found to be dead, and Sarah King examines the body.
